Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing

http://www.gracehopper.org/

Although the name of this conference implies fields like computer science or systems engineering, there is definitely something for everyone with a technical side. There are research oriented talks that showcase the achievements of women in computing specifically, but there are also many talks related to networking, balancing personal lives, and succeeding in internships, industry careers, and academia. You will not leave this conference uninspired.

National Conference on Women in Engineering

http://www.ncwie.ca/

Engineering is a male dominated field and there is no other organization where women can be the primary focus. Not only does NCWIE give delegates the opportunity to network, but it also gives them a forum for which they can discuss issues affecting females in a male dominated career such as how to break free of the stereotypes facing women in the workforce today, or how to balance a successful career and raising a family. The conference is a medium through which to bring experience and information to women studying engineering and provide them with a forum where ideas and thoughts can be discussed.
